Who knew? Diggers are big softies. Users showed their soft sides today when they promoted several photos, stories and videos of koalas to the front page.

-- Damn firefighters are awesome hit the front page along with hundreds of comments commending the firefighters.

-- A YouTube video hit several hours later, which shows a koala drinking from the CFA firefighter's water bottle: Koala survives Australian fire, shares firefighter's water. Here's the Digg submission.
