Heath Ledger

More than a year ago, Diggers proved their devotion to actor Heath Ledger when a story, breaking the news of his death, received more than 23,000 Diggs. Since then, Diggers have upvoted numerous stories about Ledger - from the cause of his death, to every award he's won. So, it's no surprise that this morning's most popular piece on Digg is Heath Ledger Wins Oscar.

Cats have proven to be funny in any language, thanks to ROLcats. Although it didn't have a traditional Digg headline, users promoted it to the front and left comments like "

Communism and kitties... together! What will they think of next?" and "Dugg for awesome."

Although many Diggers criticized several elements of the photo (the woman's hands, her rings) as well as claiming it was Photoshopped (as per usual), they nonetheless Dugg Caught on Camera enough to get it to Top in all Topics.

'Internet justice'

Two teens who originally posted a video of them abusing a cat to YouTube are now in custody, thanks to the video going viral. Today, social news communities are celebrating a new video of the local news covering the issue. "Kenny Glenn the Cat Abuser on local news" (warning: some disturbing video), went popular on Digg and Reddit, with community members claiming this was a great example of "Internet justice."

Terms of Service

Use Facebook? Then you should probably brush up on their edited Terms of Service. Diggers made their opinion clear with the story A look At Facebook's Disturbing New Terms Of Service, which quickly became the most Dugg story on the site.

Talk about having a camera ready at the right time! This image, which earned the comment "Unbeareavable!" is so popular it has remained on the front page of Reddit for 17+ hours.

13-year-old father

If you've wondered about Nadya Suleman's ability to care for her eight newborns and six other children, here's another odd parenting story. A 13-year-old boy is now a father, according to The Sun. It hit the front page of Digg, and also has some of the most upmods on Reddit.

The Oarfish

Giant 'Sea Serpent' Caught On Film - If you like watching Monster Quest on the History Channel, or just like bizarre things, this Reddit submission's for you. Apparently this film, "The Oarfish - A Creature of Legend" is the only time the oarfish has been filmed alive.
